Grit & Grace

What happens when doing the right thing costs you everything? Joseph made the God-honoring choice—and ended up in prison. But the story wasn’t over. What if your faithfulness today is shaping God’s blessing for tomorrow?
Genesis 39

When leadership isn't enough

A great leader can inspire, but even the best human leader can’t save us. Israel thought a king would fix everything—until reality hit. When leaders fall short, what do we do next?
1 Samuel 11:14-12:25

What if having it all isn't enough

Solomon had everything—wealth, power, pleasure—but when he looked back, he called it all meaningless. Why does success feel empty, and where do we find true fulfillment? Let’s talk about it.
Ecclesiastes 2:1-11

GO!

Jesus said, ‘Go and make disciples of all nations’—but what happens when those nations, neighbors, or even family don’t think like us? How do we share the Gospel with people who see the world differently?
1 Corinthians 9:19-23

Genuine faith in a counterfeit world

Some lies are easy to spot. Others hide behind a mask of good intentions. In Acts 5, Ananias and Sapphira learned the hard way that you can’t fool God. What about us? How do we protect the church—from ourselves?
Acts 4:32-5:11

Courage to Act

God's call on your life isn’t just for someone else—it’s for you. But will fear hold you back? Barak hesitated, and history remembered someone else instead. What might you miss out on if you don’t step into God’s mission?
Judges 4

My Beliefs...

I believe in one Holy, righteous, and loving God, who eternally exists as three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The persons of the one and only triune God are one in substance yet distinct in their works. God is the unmoved mover, the primary cause who created all things, seen and unseen, and all humanity in His image and likeness. He is all knowing, all powerful, all present, and unchangable.

Christology

I believe that Jesus Christ is God the Father’s only begotten Son. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and lived as fully God and fully man. Humanity introduced sin into the world, and only a human could pay the price to reconcile us to God. Yet, only God was Holy enough to be a sufficient sacrifice. Jesus Christ, as both fully God and fully man, was the only one capable of being that perfect sacrifice. For the sake of humanity’s sin, Jesus suffered, died, and was buried. On the third day, He rose again, appearing to His disciples and many witnesses. Through His sacrifice, all humanity may be reconciled with God. Whoever calls upon Jesus as their Lord and Savior will be saved (Rom 10:13).

Jesus is the prophecied Messiah, the anointed one who is the descendent of King David and will reign forever, fulfilling the Davidic covenant (1 Chron 17:13). He is the blessing to all humanity that God promised to Abraham (Gen 12:3).

Jesus will come again in glory to judge humanity, and His kingdom will last forever.

Pneumatology

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, who is fully God. He lives within all saved through Jesus as a sign of their salvation. The Holy Spirit convicts humanity of sin, reveals righteousness, and illuminates Scripture. He is the intercessor who speaks to the Father on our behalf. He ministers to us in our weaknesses and gives believers spiritual gifts to serve the needs of the Church.

When men and women believe in their hearts and confess with their lips that Jesus is Lord, they are justified through Jesus’ blood and are born again through the Holy Spirit.

Bibliology

I believe that the Bible is the Holy inspired work of God. God-breathed the infallible and inerrant words of the Old and New Testaments to its human authors through the Holy Spirit. It is humanity’s final authority concerning life, faith, and His Church.

Soteriology

I believe that all humanity was born into a sinful nature, causing separation from God. I reject the idea that there are many ways to salvation. The only path to salvation and reconciliation with God is through the blood of Jesus Christ. Jesus died for all humanity, and salvation is available for all who believe in their heart and confess with their lips that Jesus is Lord.

Ecclesiology

I believe that Jesus Christ is the head of the Church, and the Church is His metaphorical body on earth. The Church consists of those who have been saved by Christ, and it exists to worship God, grow disciples, and communicate God to a fallen world through words and actions. Sharing the hope and love of God is the Church’s natural response to the world they are called to love.

Eschatology

I believe that the precise nature of end-times is sufficiently open enough to warrant humility in all who claim anything beyond the essential: Jesus Christ will come again to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom will have no end.

Doctrinal Summary

I affirm the Lausanne Covenant as an accurate statement of faith. I also affirm the Nicene Creed (381 AD), with the exception that baptism is not for the remission of sins. Additionally, I understand “Catholic” in its original Greek context (καθολικός), meaning the whole or universal Church.

Faith worn in, not worn out.

"A Bible that's falling apart usually belongs to someone who isn't."
